[shadow=blue,left,300]Keep walking... Then the ebony stood before him. Ferine's brow furrowed and his fur stood on edge again. "And why can I not? This is my home." he placed a paw to one side to slowly get around the stranger. "Don't you think it should be the other way around? You are an intruder on this lands."
(Nah, mine still suck worse. *sighs*)[/shadow]

Nymin looked surprised, but he remained unmoving. "I do not recognize you as a member of /any/ pack." He said, a little snidely. "As for being an intruder, you know nothing of the lands around here." It was true; with the way things were going, this could well be his pack land. His leaders were starting to fall silent, but the dragga and drappa of this wood had not been sighted or heard from for many moons. Consequently, his pack's influence was spreading.

[shadow=blue,left,300]He stopped in his side ways motion, turning his cranium towards the ebony. "Of course you wouldn't recognize me." he spoke non chalantly. "You aren't a member of the pack. There are plenty of wolves from this area you wouldn't recognize, do you know why?" his brow furrowed his eyes sending chills his way. "Because you do not belong here."
He caught himself at his last words. His eyes partially widened and the harsh tone of his own words, the words he dare speak that had once even been used against him...
He shook his head violently to the side once, and looked back at his path. "I'm going now."[/shadow]

Nymin didn't even cringe, though his insides gave a little lurch. He jumped ahead, barring the murder's way once more.
"I think it is you who do not belong here. Your smell is mingled and old, not like the former of this pack. Lick what it might have been at one point…" The ebony trailed off, ears twitching thoughtfully, a little embarrassed, perhaps.
"I'm guessing you left at one time. Or were kicked out. Either way."

[shadow=blue,left,300]A soft snarl emerged from past his drawn back lips, and clenched canines. Ferine was getting very tired, very fast, at the ebony brutes little charades of barracading his path.
"Mingled?" he clicked his tongue as he said the word, giving it a slight roll. A word he had not used before. Mingled: Mixed. "Old?" his red tongue gave another click against his jaw, canines looking a bit more frightful than just a few seconds before.
"I do not belong here?" he finished his murmuring, and looked up, taking a deep inhale to explain, and then he cut off at the last sentence.[/shadow]
"I'm guessing you left at one time. Or were kicked out. Either way."
[shadow=blue,left,300]Something in his skull gave a click, and the reels started tumbling again, and his muscles contracted, lifting his coat in a terrible shiver. "Kicked... out?" The two words together seemed to have brought two peiced of cut video to strap together and play behind his eyes. "Kicked... OUT?!" His fur jolted up at the sudden twinge of muscle, his shoulder blades high, ebony talons striking the ground, bringing up little particles of soil. His eye lids rose up, the blue color of his orbs shrinking back into the liquid ivory, the pupil drowning in the cold aquamarine ocean. "I was NOT in ANYWAY kicked OUT!" he parted his jaws, slamming his head forward before the other's muzzle, and stopping right before the strangers nose, just an inch, where his canines snapped back together in a harsh "Crunch!" He kept his head there for a minute or two, breathing hard from his nostrils, muscles continuing their twitching nonsense beneath his flesh. After what seemed like an eternity, his shoulders relaxed and hunched some, his eyes narrowing in their usual cool and relaxed fashion. His claws retired back into their fortressess, waiting once again, for another day. His eye lids shut as he relaxed his muzzle, letting it fall close to his chest, and he waited a moment of two for his pelt to fall back in heaps against his frame, and let the calm air flow about him again. Once he felt he had recovered from his momentus state of insanity, he stretched his nape to bring up his head to look back at the stranger, eyes narrow and fine, no facial expression visible. "I..." his voice trembled, and he swallowed, taking another moment to relax. "Was not kicked out. I simply felt the need to get out for awhile." he nodded, letting more saliva fall back into his throat. "Is that too much to ask for?" [/shadow]
(I never knew the song "Chihuahua" was so inspirational. 0o? Kinda like my shower curtain... Interesting. Inspiration can be found in the strangest of places...)

Nymin watched as the thought settled in with a shot of dread. Wrong words, old son.
The ebony didn't even dare jump back as the stranger's massive jaws snapped shut inches from his nose. In the minutes that came to follow, he began to grow thankful and appreciative of all the things hi snout had done for him, and resolved to be a better host.
Ears lay flat against his skull, almost being swallowed by the fur that stood up along his body in fright an surprise. And enlightenment. Nymin smelled the other's breath, warm from his body. It blew back his whiskers slightly, and still he didn't draw his head back. Didn't even breath, save from the corner's of his mouth, should his exhalent be doing the same thing.
When finally the murder drew his head back, fixing him with a thoughtful look, Nymin began to breath regularly, if a little ragged. It took a moment for the stranger to recollect his thought, it seemed, and when he did, he said in a trembling, unreal voice: "I was not kicked out. I simply felt the need to get out for awhile. Is that too much to ask for?"
The ebony thought, mind not wanting him to say anything, least he be put into the same position twice, but his mouth had a different plan.
"Abandonment?" Oh, cruel gods.

[shadow=blue,left,300]Fur jolted up again at his word, auds pricked in a sudden fashion of anguish, but he quickly brought his shattered pieces back into a whole. "No... never abadonement." he breathed out through clenched teeth, black lips rising and falling over top of them to match the spoken words. Ferine let a growl play in his throat, and he lay motionless for a good moment or two. "Listen, insolent pup." he opened his eyes again, shimmering against the sunlight retracted from snow. Pup seemed to be a good word for this one. And insolent was even better. "I... am a faithful being." lowering his head to match the hieght of the other, he stopped his maw before the others and spoke, slowly, "No matter how much I look to be an incredible, violent, blood thirsty, murderous, deciteful, despicable wolven..." he inhaled. "I am not, sorry to burst your little ignorant bubble." He turned away again, as if nothing happened and nothing mattered, he stepped past the ebony and continued along his chosen path to his pack.[/shadow]
(Weirdo? How so? And here, I'm listening to "Breaking the Habit" now, is that better?)

Nymin's eyes shone with…well, an unplaceable word. That wolf had just blown his mind with those words. Murdering wolves, running from his pack lands, if he wasn't all those things he just stated, what was this stranger? An empty shell of lies, haha. He would say that he pitied him, but that was just about a sure way to get his head bitten off, and it wasn't worth it for a smart comment. His sleek fur had not yet reformed itself.
"If you're not all that, then what are you?" the ebony stood, but made no move to bar the other's path. "From what I see, that's all you are."
(Never mind. Oh, your post made me brain-dead. What would Nymin say to that? Little bit better, I guess. I'm listening to Oingo-Boingo.XD)

[shadow=blue,left,300] Paws struck the snowy earth once, stopping on the chosen path taken. His eyes lowered, and he pondered on the question himself. What was he? He was nothing to this world, an ant compared to the world around him no, an atom, worse... Nothing. He turned his maw to the side, one eye poised and straight on at the ebony, with the final answer. "Nothing. A mere flicker of unjustice, impurity, and cruelness on this unjust, wicked world." he blinked eyes. "And of course, you say that I look like that. I do, I know that is all you see... I've just explained that. That's what everyone see's..." At his next thought, his mind began to shout in disagreement. It doesn't exist! I know that! He escaped his own thoughts, still focused on the ebony. "Have you ever heard the saying, 'Love is blind?'" he blinked his eyes. Don't do it, you'll regret it! He paused for a moment, recollecting his thoughts, then started again. "If that is the case, do we hate because we can see?" [/shadow]
(What's that?)

Do we hate because we can see? Nymin thought this over himself, rolling it around in his mind, testing it at every angle. It probably didn't have quite the impact the other thought, but it did make his fur settle.
"Do we hate because we can see, or because we only see cretin things? Blind to others, the things that really matter?"
The ebony nodded slightly, yes, that fit. Almost poetic, but don't make me laugh. What did Nymin know about love?
(-gasp- A rockin old band. Know Danny Elfman?)

[shadow=blue,left,300]He nodded. Just nodded. He let his cranium fall, then come back upwards. He nodded.... He agreed. That was exactly how it was supposed to be. "Now you see." he spoke in a hushed tone. "You speak wisdom, yet your actions, common sense, and first reactions are a bit on the ignorant side of things." Ferine turned his head back, letting his eyes slip back down to the path before him. "Practice what you preach."[/shadow]
(Ummmmm..... no....)

Nymin blinked. Was he preaching? Bah.
"Well, trouble is, all I see is what you did. Despite the motivation…" The ebony pinched his face up, running a tongue over his face. Cannibalism. Nothing should drive a wolf to that. Not while this wood, barren as it grew yet, could still offer up something to eat. This one might have killed one of his former pack-mates, for all he knew. How dare he call Nymin ignorant, when he himself walked so bold through these lands, oblivious of the consequences he provoked?
(Then I'm not allowed to be friends with you. -turns away- lol)

[shadow=blue,left,300]"Did you really see?" Ferine asked, louder this time without turning, still padding away. "You would've done the same if you were in my position. It's true."[/shadow]
