The years have passed over the earth. Time has recorded the brutality of all the races living within it's containment. War, terror, murder, all continued for years unchecked. Humans fooled with area's that should have lain dormant till the end. They felt themselves superior in every way. No other species would surpass them...or so they thought.
They year is now 3000, the year is new and the new year is expected to bring new beginnings and a clean slate. It does not disappoint, something new has begun to stir. A strange plague has went through the entire human race, wiping out thousands in a matter of days. Scientist worked continuously to bring the unknown disease to it's knee's. By the time the cure had been produced, almost half a million humans had fallen victim to the disease, now classified as a virus called Pangerious. Pangerious sent any affected by it into a wild rage. Symptoms are similar to another disease that had been wiped out called rabies, with it's own differences though. When affected, if not treated immediately, you find yourself falling, bleeding excessively, and unable to focus. Final stages, if you didn't bleed to death before hand, included the wild rages, deathly wishes, and extreme insanity. After so many had fallen because of this disease humans felt fear like no other. What else was out there waiting for them? Pointing fingers and making sure someone was taking the blame, they had little idea they were being watched. Watched by the ones whom had been ignored through it all.
All the Earth had suffered from this disease. Plants wilted and became toxic. Waters evaporated at an accelerated rate and the ground itself became unstable. The one's whom where hit hardest were the Wild Ones. The worst of it hit the predators. Few where left in the area's called North America and Canada. Plate shifts had shrunk the land masses, sending most humans on a spree to rid the land they had left of any others. Larger predators, such as the wolf and puma, continued to thrive. Few as they were, they continued their ways of life with little interruption. Pangerious, however, Interrupted it all. Herbivores where either killed or made inedible by the toxic plants and waters. Food shortages had killed off many, yet still some survived.
Those who survived watched the humans, believing that they had a way to fix the problem that was obviously their fault. Wolves watched as many humans fell and came down with the sickness, yet they felt a certain pity for the strange creatures that couldn't keep their minds together. Soon after the plague began that all change.
Hidden behind brick walls, many wolves had been caught and tested upon. Their minds forever lost soon after they had been affected. A few where even released, spreading the sickness to the Wild Ones. This pushed the wolves from their peaceful ways to an attack strategy, full destruction. All those who where poisoned were given honorable deaths, and promised one humans body for every day of suffering. Packs began to strengthen and grow. Not even a year later, the Wild One's attacked. Though they didn't fully erase the human race, they tore through their hopes of life returning to normal. Since war and terror had been nearly destroyed humans, almost all weapons had been burned, giving the Wild One's they advantage.
Both sides have fought for the support of a single pack. Humans call them Guardian, whilst wolves look upon them with distaste and call them Traitors. This pack has yet to fall in line and attack anyone. Thought many are skeptical, it is said that this pack contains many wolves and a human along side each. They stay within their bounds, feeling the suffering of both humans and their own brethren. It is said that whomever could bring these wolves into fighting, would undoubtedly win, but not everyone should believe what they hear.
The war still rages on, though both sides seem to be currently working on new plans and all attacks have been postponed, the Wild Wolves still have a promise to keep.
Blue Twilight is a Post-Apocalyptic RPG. Both sides are light, yet both are dark. In a way there is not side, except one...Survival
...With Both Eyes Blind?
