Jackson pulled himself up, off of his pillow, and stretched. After a large yawn, he was finally ready to start the day. His owner, Mike, walked in and started cooking breakfast. Jackson, pitifully, whined as he stood above his bowl. Mike sighed, "Jackson, you're not the alpha." Jackson didn't understand any of the words, besides 'not'. Afraid he wasn't getting his food, he whined louder, and gave out a few low, deep barks. Finally Mike gave in, "Ok." Jackson knew what 'Ok' meant and happily jumped in the air.
After eating a good breakfast of kibble and some eggs, Jackson walked to the door and pawed at the handle with his paw. Luckly Mike had already gone out to get the paper, so the door was unlocked. Jackson finally got the door open and walked out, letting it slam behind him. "Come back earlier tonight!" Mike called after him. Jackson heard 'come', 'back', and 'night'. He figured that he want's him back durning the night. Jackson stopped and looked back, "I always come back at night..." He barked, then turned and continued to see if any other dogs were out.

Ayame a malamute walked around the streets. She was a stray and was looking for other dogs. She has been alone for a long time and dosent really like it. She didnt mind humans that much but would rather they leave her alone. Her black and white tail curled up and hanged over her back as she walked around. She spotted a dog (Jackson) coming out of a house. She also saw the human but paid no attention to him. She wondered who the dog was. She gave a bark to let him know she was there.

Jackson walked forwards, "Hello, welcome to Steamboat Springs." He sat, "Which home is yours?" He asked, looking around.

Her tail and ears drooped some as she did so.

"I'm sorry." He replied. "There are some beautiful rock dens in the field." He said, offering her a home. He didn't want this stray to be stuck at the tracks with the other strays. "You're welcome to join the Steamboat Spring Dogs on Howl hill... as long as you don't hang out with the Train track dogs." He eyed her. She hadn;t mentioned that as her home, so he assumed she had none.

"Ok thanks" she said smiling at him. She had heard of those places before but have never been there. "So you live there" she said staring at the house in front of her but behind him. Her pelt blew silently as a breeze came by.

Jackson smiled, "Yeah, that's my home." He looked back to the house, then to her, "It's a nice place. My owner's nice too." As he spoke Mike walked out and towards him, "Who's your friend?" He asked Jackson barked and ran to Mike. Mike smiled and patted his dog, "Good dog." Jackson knew thoes words well, and his tail wagged hard. Jackson jumped down and ran back to the dog, He stopped and grined, "I don't think I mentioned my name, I'm Jackson." He told her, as he started walking away from his house.

"Nice to meet you Jackson" she said smiling. She looked up at his owner remembering some of her past when she was little. She stared up at him then backed away slowly. Her tail drooped a little as she backed away.

He trotted forwards until he was next to her. He went a little ahead so he could show her the way if she didn't know.
((I'll start a thread in the Field))
